Description:
Study Whatty: Poker Drills is a series of areas
and games that allows you to learn poker. This is a must for any poker
player, dealer or staff. Know the rules. Know the hands. Learn from
other people's mistakes. Make lots of money!
You can set up names up to 8 people and a player ID and group ID. This
allows you to personalize your game. This information can be used to
record on the screenshots of how well you did. You have the option to
e-mail the screenshot out to someone. You have the option of changing
the grading scale. This allows you to use traditional A-B-C-D-F grades
or just a pass-fail system. Using the player statistics area, you can
see the number of times you have tried, failed or passed as well as the
high score for each area listed below.
Then move on to the flash cards and study modes. There you can learn
valuable information without any timers or scores. Each is set up
slightly different to help you out as much as possible. These areas are
meant for you to take your time to learn the material at your own pace.
When ready, try your hand at one of the poker games such as the quiz
game, points game, scrambled words game, match game or hierarchy game.
Each game is different with an emphasis of learning by playing. It's one
thing to study, but it's another thing to have a bit of fun while
learning. If you get some of the answers wrong, don't worry. A list of
wrong answers is saved in a text file for you to view later.
If need be, the PDF area has links to all of the major poker rules for
cash and tournament play. Learn the rules or have them handy during a
poker game. These are not located in the app. They are direct links to
internet sites so you must have a internet connection to view them.
Eventually, when you feel confident, challenge other players in the
multi-player version. Up to 8-players can compete to see who is the king
(or queen) of poker knowledge. Enjoy!

SlifkerGames' "Study Whatty: Poker Drills" version 3.40 is now live on the Google
Play Store (Android). This fixes issues that made it non-compliant
with some of the recent Play Store guidelines. The reason is that
they constantly change things, so developers must keep constaltly change
things too. Unfortunately, this also means that your saved data is
no longer good. You will have to delete your saved data on your Android device.
Then, you could also delete the app,
redownload the app and reinstall the app just to be safe. Sorry about that.
If using Android 13 (other versions may
be slightly different), click on 'settings' (that is the gear icon at the top of screen), click on 'apps', click on the
name of the game, click on 'storage', click on 'clear cache', click on
'clear data', click on 'storage' at the top of the screen to go back one
screen, click on 'uninstall'. Then if you want, redownload and reinstall the
game. Finally, follow the instructions that come next. Your
'pro store' should look like picture D when all is done and good.
To see if your app's data is good or bad, do this.
From the main menu, click on the 'pro store' button. Picture A.
A) 'Pro
Store' Button (From Main Menu of Any of Our Apps.)
Next, when inside the app's 'pro store',
see which of the following three pictures it looks like: picture
B, C or D. If it looks like picture D, then you are good.
B) Old IAP 'Pro
Store' (You Must Now Delete Data and Reinstall App.)
(You have old
version of the app and data is bad.)
C) New IAP 'Pro Store' (You Must Now Delete Data and Reinstall
App.)
(You have new version of app but data is bad. The
'restore' button is not shown.)
D) New IAP 'Pro Store' (This is what it should look like.)
(You have the new version of the app and the data is good.)
If your 'pro store' looks like picture B,
then that is the old 'pro store'. It also means you have an old
version of the app. You will need to follow the instructions to
clear out any data on the Android device.
Note, this will also delete any saved games. Sorry about that.
If your 'pro store' looks like the
picture C, then you have the updated app version. However, the
'pro store' button doesn't do anything after clicking on it and the
'restore' bar is not there. You will need to follow the
instructions to clear out any data on the Android device. Note, this will also delete any saved games.
Sorry about that.
If your 'pro store' looks like the picture
D, then you are good. You want your 'pro store' to look like the picture with
the two bars.
If you have previously purchased the app,
then the 'sold' tag will be shown and the price should not be shown.
Clicking on the 'restore' button will
re-ping the server to see if you own the app or not. You could do that
if you have purchased the app, but it does not indicate it.
Any other times it will appear to do nothing because it has alrady verified
that the
information was already correct. Some apps will show this option
and others won't. It used to be a requirement from the stores to
show this, but now it's mostly an option. I am choosing to include
the 'restore' button just in case, but really it is not needed anymore.
The information gets pinged regardless.
The minimum API to run the game is now Android 10.
I will get the other non-android versions
of the game to the other stores soon.
SlifkerGames' "Study Whatty: Poker Drills" version 2.90 is now live on the Microsoft Store (UWP).
There was a minor update fix to allow Windows ARM devices to play it.
Nothing else changed.
"Study
Whatty: Poker Drills" version 2.80 is now live on the Google Play
Store (Android/Chrome) and the Microsoft Store (UWP).
There were a few minor fixes and updates. Usually, every 2 years
(2015, 2017, 2019...) the TDA meets in Las Vegas to change the rules yet
again. Due to COVID, this has been delayed. Once they update
their rules then we will do the same with the app. The last time
the rules were changed was in the summer of 2019. The current
version of Poker Drills usues the current version of the TDA rules.
"Study Whatty: Poker Drills" version 2.21 is now live on the
Google Play Store (Android) and Microsoft Store (UWP Windows 10).
There were a few minor fixes.
- In the UWP version, the splash screen was changed
to the "SlifkerGames" logo from a generic "Poker Drills" logo.
- In the UWP version, it now correctly changes the
aspect ratio to 16x9.
- Before, when starting a particular game, you
might have been able to mess with input on the game. So you could
'see-through' the background. All this did was mess things up.
This was fixed.
"Study Whatty: Poker Drills" version 2.12 is now live on the
Google Play Store (Android) and Microsoft Store (UWP Windows 10).
There were a lot of fixes, changes and additions.
- TDA rules for September 2019 were installed.
They update the rules every 2 years.
- Changed internet links for WSOP and other document
information for 2019 and 2020.
- New button icons.
- Lots of little things were fixed.
Version
2.01 was finished and uploaded to the stores. Updated photos and
descriptions on the website, stores and Facebook.
A new
gameplay video was uploaded to YouTube. This is in HD 2K.
